About-
They are well known for their intelligence. They have a good family bond. They are aggressive, noisy, and bold. They never worry about fighting with other birds 🐦. Whenever other birds like owls 🦉 and hawks attack their nest they fearlessly fight against them.

Habitat-
Blue Jay is native to North America. And are usually found in Eastern and the central United States. They live in deciduous, coniferous, and mixed forests.
What did Blue Jays feed on?
They usually feed on seeds and nuts. Nuts like acorns they adore to eat acorns. They sneak them to eat later. They also feed on delicate fruits and small invertebrates, corn grains, peanuts, weed seeds, meat, bread, etc.

Predators like a squirrel, snakes, crows, other jays, raccoons, cats attack their nests and feed on their eggs.

Nesting and Mating-
Sexual maturity reaches after 1 year of age. The mating season starts from mid-March and can extend up to July. They are monogamous pairs. Their bond is lifelong. Both males and females help each other for giving rise to their nest. They usually built their nest 10-25 feet above the ground in thick branches of deciduous and coniferous trees. Their nests are cup-shaped. The outer part of the nest is made up of twigs of live branches. And for getting these twigs they struggle so much. The female lays 3-7 eggs. The eggs are bluish or light brown with brown spots on the surface of the egg. Only female brood young one. Male feed the female and the female take care of the eggs. The incubation period is 16-18 days.
Identification of Male and Female-
Usually, both males and females are almost the same. But the male is slightly larger than the female. Males have black plumage on their nape, face, and throat, which varies extensively between individuals.
